Village Green Breaks Ground on 82-Unit Addition to Historic Apartments

West End City Apartments recently broke ground on a luxury 82-apartment mid-rise building, an addition to the existing 318 apartments in three historic high-rises.
Located in the center of St. Louis’ Central West End, adjacent to Forest Park between Clayton and downtown St. Louis, the community has been renamed and will now be known as Central West End City Apartments.
“Central West End City Apartments will be the best apartment community in St. Louis,” said Jonathan Holtzman, chairman and CEO, Village Green. “This community is a unique combination of a modern apartment building and three historic apartment buildings. Village Green has created resort-style amenities and time-saving services, making Central West End City Apartments the only development to have everything a discerning renter would expect.”
The three historic buildings and brand new, green modern building includes boutique hotel-style amenities and services such as a 17th floor Sky Park, a historic ballroom turned clubroom with gourmet kitchen, St. Louis Workout professional gym, non-stop concierge and the brand new Kitchen Sink restaurant/bar and 2 Schae café and market.
Renovations will be made to the historic apartment amenities and common areas during the construction of the new apartment building. This will include the expansion of the pool and a brand-new community entrance.
The team working on the project consists of developer Village Green Holding LLC; contractor Brinkmann Constructors; and the architects / interior designers BKV Group, Damon Farber & Stock Associates and VG Interiors. Management and branding will be handled by Village Green / L.A. Ads Inc.; and Union Labor Life Insurance Co. provided the construction, renovation and permanent loan. The owner of the project is City Apartments at West End LLC.
With a total of 400 brand new and historic apartments, residents will have a choice of 49 unique floor plans, ranging in size from 400-square-foot studios to 4,000-square-foot duplex-style penthouses, most with patios and balconies. Central West End City Apartments is currently leasing historic apartments and pre-leasing apartments in the brand new apartment community.
